Role Overview

The Finance & Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing financial operations, ensuring data integrity, and supporting strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will oversee P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, working closely with the C-Suite to drive financial efficiency and growth. This role requires a blend of financial acumen, operational expertise, and technical proficiency, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights. This position offers significant growth opportunities within a dynamic, AI-driven PubTech company.

Responsibilities

- Financial Management & Reporting:

• Update and manage P&L.
• Develop, monitor, and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Oversee budgeting and P&L review for vendor partnerships.

- Operations & Compliance:

• Manage billing processes and ensure timely collection of receivables.
• Oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of employees.
• Ensure data integrity across accounting platforms and CRM.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Manage internal and external audits, strengthening internal controls and processes.
• Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with SOC2 certification.

- Sales and Revenue Operations:

• Collaborate with sales and revenue teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and generate reports to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance, operations, or accounting experience (ideally in SaaS tech)
• We are HQ’d in the Netherlands, so we’d ideally like someone with strong knowledge of financial and tax laws.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM, SQL, and Financial software systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong focus on data integrity and process improvement.
